Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, <br />Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on August 29, 2007, an application to revise coal mining operations at the <br />Yoast Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Seneca Coal Company. All <br />review and comment periods as provided m the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />This technical revision provides a design for a new sediment pond in the Yoast South mine area (Pond 012A), supplemental <br />channel designs using turf reinforcement mat for postmine channels in the South mine area and, design of a recons[mcted <br />channel section along the Dragline Deadhead Route. The operator has requested no new disturbed acreage with this revision <br />application. <br />The Surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 7 miles Southwest of Hayden, Colomdo. The permit area <br />is further described as follows: <br />T6N, R87W, Portions of Sections 28, 29 and 32 <br />TSN, R87W, All of Section 17; Portions of Sections 5, 8, 16, 18, 19, 2Q 29, 30 <br />Mt. Hams & Dunckley <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Dunckley and Mount Hams. <br />The applicant is required to publish notice m a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the time of <br />publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Hayden Public Library, <br />201 E. Jefferson Avenue, Hayden, CO 81639-1813, and at the Division office.
