topsoil stockpile locations aze proposed; approximately 8 acres aze upon existing overburden
storage azeas and do not represent new disturbance and 5.1 acres aze in azeas previously
identified as ancillary disturbance.
Reclamation costs for new topsoil stockpile disturbance were estimated by Mike Ellis,
Consulting Mining Engineer, to be $2283 per acre (including the 22.5% state contingency) as
noted in TR-46. Based upon 5.1 acres of new topsoil disturbance, CC&V proposed to increase
the Amendment 8 reclamation warranty by $11,643.00. This amount can be subtracted from
CC&V's current voluntary surplus warranty of $ 28,601, leaving $ 16,958 remaining in the
voluntary surplus financial warranty for CC&V's use as needed. With the approval of this
technical revision (TR-47), CC&V's total financial warranty for the Cresson Project will be
$ 44,636,913 (see Berhan Keffelew letter dated February 21, 2006).
A check in the amount of $875.00 for this technical revision request is attached.
Please contact me at (719)-689-4056 should you have questions or wish to discuss this request
for technical revisien.
Resources
xc: Paul Clazkson
Director, Teller County Planning Department
Enclosed appendices
