Long <br />Division Director <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology has received a request from <br />Kaiser Steel Resources, Inc. for a Phase II bond release on approximately 60 <br />acres of privately owned land at the Chimney Rock Mine near Pagosa Springs, <br />Colorado. In order to complete the release of a portion of the required <br />reclamation bond monies, the Division will conduct a bond release inspection <br />at the Chimney Rock Mine site at approximately 10:00 a.m. on October 21, 1993. <br />The purpose of the inspection will be to evaluate topsoil replacement depths, <br />vegetative cover, species composition erosional features and the condition of <br />the sediment ponds. <br />Any parties interested in attending this inspection should contact me at the <br />Division's Denver office. <br />Please note that the bond release is not for any of the federally owned land, <br />just a portion of the privately owned land. <br />Sincerely, <br />~~~ <br />Harry B.
