water analysis. A review of baseline water samples have results well
below the drinking water standards. Every effort has been made on
behalf of the DGMC to locate any information regarding water
resources and quality in the mine area. Nine agencies were contacted,
1. Dept. of Agriculture, 2. Natural Resources Conservation, 3. Interior
Dept. USGS, 4. Natural Resources, 5. Water Resources Division, 6. La
Plata County Water Commissioner, 7. Two (2) Branches of the BLM, 8.
WQCC. All responded with no information no work done in this area.
The WQCC does regard Little Deadwood Gulch as O low flow. Other
than the combined baseline samples by Bob Hill and Prehapo Northern
Minerals,(both prior operators of this mine), and the two time annually
analysis by DGMC. There appears to be no other information.
