HISTORY
In May of 1990, Mobile Premix Concrete, Inc. purchased +/-- 31 acres
out of the Bennett estate, of which this total +/- 1.5.3 acres
amendment area lies within.
Prior to purchase, there had been a restaurant on the situ (the Old
Heidelberg Inn), which had burned down in years past.
After the fire, which totally consumed the frame structure, there
was considerable safety and visual concern on the part of the City
of Golden as to the condition of the site. At the request of the
City and the Bennett's we cleaned up the site, filled in the
basement, and placed an earthen (+/- 6 feet) cap over 'the site.
Today, the only remains of the restaurant is the parking l.ot. This
amendment would allow us to include this site in our plant. area for
stockpile of finished aggregate products and provide aii area to
control drainage on the property.
MINING PLAN ERHIBZT D
There is no mining planned on the amendment area. It will be used
as a stockpile area at the old restaurant site and drainage control
on our properties.
As preparation and use of the property for stockpile purposes, we
would upgrade an access road from our current plant arena to the
restaurant site. The road would be approximately 30 feet in width
to accommodate truck movement. The old restaurant site would be
graded to accommodate stockpiling. The parking lot would be filled
on the north and east sides to divert the drainage to i:he south
where it will be routed down a steep drainage ditch to an open
expanse above Lena Gulch. The drainage ditch will be lined with
rock rip-rap to prevent erosion of the ditch and two small rock
rip-rap check dams, approximately 4 feet in height, will be located
on the open expanse also.
RECLAMATION PLAN ERHIHIT E
The amendment area is zoned commercial with the City of Golden and
it is anticipated that upon completion of use in our' mining,
processing, and stockpiling, it will be used for commercial
