We will then remove
deposit to be mined to the crushing area.
b) Earth moving will be done by bulldozer and loader.
c) This is a dry pit operation with no effect on water
rights or hydrology of the area. There will be no surface
water intercepted and the historic drainage pattern will be
undisturbed. Depth to ground water is unknown, and we have
never encountered any ground water in our current permit
area.
d) The proposed addition, as well as the current permit
area, will be utilized within the same time frame.
e) The new permit area will be utilized just as soon as we
get approval from the Division of Minerals and Geology.
While we are waiting on approval, we will mine on our
current permit area. When all material is exhausted in our
current permit area, we will began reclamation on the area
and start mining our amended area. We would like to start
reclamation on the current area within 3 to 4 months and
start mining our new area at the same time.
f) It appears that the topsoil to be removed ranges from H
to 8 inches. It will be stripped and stockpiled on the
south edge of the new permit area. The overburden to be
removed is about 10 inches in thickness and will also be
stockpiled on the south edge of the amended permit area.
The nature of the stratum immediately beneath the material
to be mined is sandy loam.
g) The primary commodity to be u*_ilized is road
construction aggregate. There are no other commodities.
h) There are no incidental products known or proposed that
could be used from this operation.
