Exhibit E
Reclamation Plan
The present use of the sfte is mining. After remining as described in The
Mining Plan, the site will be reclaimed to Wildlife Habitat. The surrounding area is
forest and is used for different recreation purposes. Reclaiming to Wildlife Habitat
will be totally compatible with the surrounding land uses.
Reclamation of the site will consist of the regrading accomplished during
mining. As described in the Mining Plan, the dredge tailing will be removed to
within approximately 1.5 to 2.0 feet of the water table. That activity will convert
what is an extremely unnatural topographic configuration (placer dredge piles) into
an essentially level topography that is much more natural to the valley bottom.
No overburden or growth medium exists for salvage and stockpile during
mining. Therefore, no overburden or growth medium will be salvaged and
stockpiled during the operation.
The onty regrading that might be required at the end of mining will be
touching up the perimeter of the area to assure that the topography of the mined
area transitions properly with the surrounding area. The maximum finished grade
will be 3:1.
The existing culverts will be left in place because they now support the
driveway to two cabins that were constructed south of the Affected Land. The
culverts that will be installed to provide the new access further upstream will also be
left intact to provide access to the site.
Timing
As indicated above, the regrading implemented during mining will, in effect,
complete the reclamation committed to at the site. Therefore, reclamation will be
completed in an area as soon as ft is mined.
The land to be affected is presently unvegetated, and, in accord with the
Mined Land Reclamation Act and Rules, there is no commitment to revegetate the
site. The company may or may not revegetate the site, but does not wish to
commit to revegetation.
8
