Grassland species
include blue gramma grass, buffalo grass, yucca, and sagebrush.
Assassmeat of Impact:.
This site has been disturbed for some time. The importance should
be placed on correct reclamation to take place when mining is
completed. Current issues include some erosion on site due to lack
of adequate vegetation growth. There are also some noxious weeds
that will need to be eradicated prior to reclamation.
Mice Reclamation Reoomimendations (include key species/habitats for
which restoration is designed):
Reelama*_ion should return the site to original condition, in this
case short grass prairie. There should be native grasses such as
blue gramma and buffalo grass planted in the disturbed area. Yucca
dud sagebrush should be part of the vegetative reclamation because
they provide cover for many species of wildlife. Livestock should
be excluded during reclamation to allow growth of the newly seeded
area.
