Colorado 80203
RE: Minor Revision 01-172, Underground Drill Holes
Permit No. C-82-056
Dear Mr. Kaldenbach:
ODD
Twentymile Coal Company
RECEIVF~
APR 30 200
Division of Minerals 8 Geuio9Y
Twentymile Coal Company is requesting a minor revision to the above referenced permit,
which will allow for the drilling of five holes from the underground workings into [he
Wolf Creek seam. TCC will be using its own drill rig to conduct this work.
The holes are small diameter, i.e. 2.4", and have a maximum depth of 200 feet. The
holes will be abandoned with either a cement or bentonite slurry, and is as shown on the
bond estimate only require about 1.74 cy of slurry. The proposed bond associated with
this activity is $494. Given that TCC is presently overbonded, excluding the current
DMG bond review which TCC is evaluating, it is suggested no additional bond rider be
required by this minor revision.
If there are questions, please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
~~ ~G~~~'~ ~~~val
Richard Mills
Environmental Manager
Fi le:l:en\env\\revision\minor revision\mr01-172\mr01-172 cover lever
29515 ROUTT COUNTY ROAD 1127, OAK CREEK, CO 80467 Phone (970) 879-3800 Fax: (970) 879-8050
