Box X91 <br />Somerset, CO 31434 <br />Dear Mr. Barbe: <br />AUG 20 2001 <br />Division of Minerals 8 Geology <br />We reviewed your request to drill a hole (2001-1 l-1 EEE), construct a drill pad and 400 feet of <br />new access road on coal lease COC-X6.447. The total access leneth is approximately 1200 feet <br />and includes an e.visting (but closed) ru;td on BL~I and :Mountain Coal Company private lands. <br />The purpose of the hole is to is to acquire data and may serve as a water quality monitoring hole. <br />The area was surveyed for threaten and endangered species and cultural resources and no sites <br />were found.
