Jim McArdle -4- November 30, 1982
Appendix D-1:. "Revegetation Techniques"
The proposed revegetation techniques are acceptable for use within the delineated
areas to be revegetated during the interim plan time period.
Exhibit G: "plater Information" (Includes discussion of sediment control)
The applicant has included a detailed analysis of the surface hydrology and
sediment control implications of the proposed interim plan amendments to the
Middle Fork and Davis Gulch dams. (Refer to Jerry Zimpfer's memo to Jim McArdle,
dated November 30, 1982.) The applicant also provides additional discussion of
the excess fill and channelization problems discussed above under Section Area
5a.
Appendix G-1: "Dust Suppression"
Appendix G-1, which contained a discussion of the sediment control system in the
original interim plan document, has been revised to present a discussion of the
proposed dust suppression techniques to be utilized during the interim plan. The
amended discussion of dust suppression techniques has been improved. However,
although requested in my earlier adequacy memorandum, the application still
presents no discussion of the potential environmental impacts of extensive use of
dust suppressants. (Refer to Jerry Zimpfer's memo to Jim McArdle, dated November
30, 1982.)
/mt
cc: Joe Zalkind
Dave Shelton
