Ms. Janet Binns
September 28, 1995
Page 2
Recommendations for the 1996 season should include a similar grazing program from
approximately April 15 to May 15/June 1 depending upon the moisture regime. With the
presence of warm season grasses, Kaiser should also conduct Phase II vegetation sampling
on the site in late July/early August 1996 to determine the effects of grazing on warm season
grass production and to determine if Phase II requirements are met. The time period
between the grazing and sampling should be sufficient to allow for vegetative recovery which
will not effect Phase II sampling.
Should the Division concur with our approach to the 1996 grazing and sampling program,
please let us know so implementation plans can be made. Should you have questions or
need additional information concerning this report or 1996 proposal, please do not hesitate
to contact Mr. Mike Keegan or let me know.
Sincerely,
~~
Jerry H. Koblitz
Project Manager
cc Mike Keegan -Kaiser Eagle Mountain
