Hardaway <br />Homestake Mining Company <br />1726 Cole Boulevard <br />Golden, Colorado 80501 <br />RE: Bulldog Mountain Mine <br />Request for Initial Temporary Cessation <br />Dear Mr. Hardaway: <br /> <br />Gur Division has received your Notice of Temporary Cessation for the <br />Bulldog Iountain Mine, effective March 31, 1989. This notice complies with <br />the requirements of Rule 1.62, and there does not appear to be any outstanding <br />problems with interim site stabilization under our performance standards. <br />Therefore, I have placed a notice of our receipt of your temporary cessation <br />notice in the back of the June 21-22, 1989 Board meeting agenda and have <br />notified Mineral County of your proposed action. <br />On April 21, 1989, Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division Reclamation <br />Specialist Steven Renner inspected your site and has recommended that the <br />following activities continue through your temporary cessation period: <br />1. Groundwater monitoring through the lower Tailings Disposal Area <br />should continue; <br />2. Removal of scrap material should continue; <br />3. Maintenance and monitoring of the Upper Division Ditches at each <br />Tailings Disposal Area should occur each Spring and Fall; <br />4. Inspection of the Windy Gulch Culvert inlet and outlet should occur <br />each Spring and Fall and should be cleaned as necessary; <br />5.
