NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology proposes to Approve Permit Renewal Application No. 5 <br />(RN-5), submitted by Ken Coal Company for a coal mining permit at the Man- Mine (Permit No. C-1980- <br />006). The proposed renewal will allow for continued mining and/or reclamation operations at the site. <br />The Marc Mine is located in Jackson County, approximately 12 miles east of Walden, Colorado, Colorado. <br />Coal interest at this Surface mine is Federal, state and private, and the surface to be affected is Federal, state <br />and private land. The permit azea encompasses approximately 1,645.00 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with all requirements <br />of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34-33-101 et seq., C.R.S., and the <br />regulations promulgated thereunder. <br />A copy of the "Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance", including any stipulations, is on file for <br />public inspection at the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215 Centennial Building, <br />1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the Jackson County Clerk's Office, Box 337, Walden, <br />CO 80480. Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a <br />formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. Such request must be <br />made within thirty (30) days of the initial publication of this notice, must be in writing, and must state with <br />reasonable specificity the reasons for the request and the objections to the proposed decision. <br />
