<br /> <br />Notice of Proposed Decision <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology has issued a proposed decision to approve Bond <br />Release Application No. 2 (SL-2) for the Golden Eagle Ivline, Permit No. C-81-013. The mine is <br />operated by Basin Resources, Inc. under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release application was submitted by Basin Resources, Inc. on May <br />13, 1998. This bond release consists of two parts: a release of liability for lands classified with apost- <br />mining land use of industrial and a release of liability of Lands south of Highways 12 which overlay <br />underground workings. Excluded from liability release are [hose areas of disturbance which are subject <br />to the 10-year revegetation liability period. The Bleeder Return is specifically excluded from the <br />industrial land use portion of this bond release request. Industrial land use areas are located in Sections <br />28, 29, 32, and 33 of T33S, R67W. The affected area is located in Las Animas County, approximately <br />20 miles west of Trinidad, Colorado. <br />Copies of the proposed decision are available for review at the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the office of the Las <br />Animas County Clerk and Recorder. <br />Any person who has an interest which is or may be adversely affected may request an adjudicatory <br />hearing regazding this proposed decision. Requests for a hearing must be made in writing within thirty <br />(30) days of the first publication of this notice, and shall state with reasonable specificity the reasons for <br />the request and objections to [he proposed decision. <br />
