i Both drill sites and trenched azeas will be reclaimed in essentially the same manner after
drillhole sealing. Excavations, including both mud pits and trenches will be backfilled. Where
mud pits aze necessary, they will be allowed to dry out and will be backfilled with drill cuttings
and/or previously excavated material. During backfilling, an effort will be made to replace
excavated materials in approximately the same sequence chat they were removed and the
material will be compacted as it is replaced, by running the equipment aver the backfilled azea
during placement of successive lifts. Following backfilling, disturbance aeeas will be graded to
approximately their original configuration and drainage will be reestablished. If the drill site or
trenched area was an existing road or other existing disturbance azea, the disturbed
configuration will be reestablished if needed for future operations and the area will not be
immediately reclaimed. For other exploration disturbance areas, reclamation will be completed
by scarifying the regraded surface, redistributing stockpiled topsoil, and reseeding the azea.
2.02.6 -General Coal Exploration Compliance Duties
OMI will conduct all exploration and related activities in full compliance with applicable
regulatory requirements. In order to assure compliance, the supervising geologist or engineer
will be familiaz with relevant regulatory performance standazds and will cooperate fully with
authorized DMG personnel. The supervisor will also be responsible for prepazation and
submittal of required reports, including the certificate of completion, which will be filed per
Section 2.02.6(3)(h)(ii), for each exploration program upon completion of trench or drillhole
abandonment and reclamation of related disrurbance azeas.
2.02.7 -Sale of Coal for Testing Purposes
OMI does not anticipate that any coal extracted in conjunction with exploration activities will
be sold for testing purposes.
2.02.8 -Public Availability of Information
Except in such circumstances where OMI determines that disclosure of exploration
information may effect the company's competitive rights, exploration information submitted
to the DMG under applicable provisions of this settion will be filed with the permit
application in the County Clerk and Recorder's Office. This information will be available for
public inspection unless OMI requests and the DMG issues a determination of confidentiality.
