<br />LEGAL NOTICE <br />FLATIRON COMPANIES DBA WALDEN COAL COMPANY, P.O. Box 229, <br />Boulder, Colorado 80306, (303j 499-1441, has filed with the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology an application for Phase <br />III bond release for the Northgate Loadout facility (Northgate <br />Loadout TR approved August 10, 1983 to Permit pC-81-021 renewed <br />April 21, 1993). The legal description of the affected 2.82 acre <br />parcel is as follows: part of 81/2 NE1/4 Sec 31 T11N R79W Jackson <br />County, Colorado. <br />FLATIRON COMPANIES DBA WALDEN COAL COMPANY has requested <br />release from reclamation liability for the above described <br />property. Reclamation activities, including grading, topsoiling and <br />seeding were completed in October 1988. These activities exceed the <br />requirements for the approved reclamation plan and post-mining land <br />use of industrial/commercial for this property. A corporate surety <br />performance bond is held by the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology in the amount of $214,400 for permit $C-81-021, said amount <br />to remain unchanged following approval of this application. <br />Written comments, objections or requests for an informal <br />conference on the application may be submitted to, and additional <br />information obtained from, The Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Rm 215, Denver, Colorado, 80203., <br />(303} 866-3567.
