PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Oldcastle SW Group, Inc. dba United Companies of Mesa County; PO Box 3609 Grand <br />Junction, Colorado 81502, (970) 243-4900, has filed an application for an Amendment to <br />a Reclamation Permit with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Boazd under <br />provisions of the Colorado Land Reclamation Act for the Extraction of Construction <br />Materials. The mine is known as the Spring Creek Pit (MLRB Permit M-1994-097) and <br />is located at or neaz Section 13, Township 49 North, Range 10 West, Tenth Principal <br />Meridian. <br />Approval for this Permit was initially granted on September 12, 1995. The proposed <br />Amendment 2 seeks to include the area of a new access road in the permitted azea of the <br />Reclamation Permit. The new access road is expected to be in use for the remaining life <br />of the mine. A complete copy of the <br />application is available at the above named County Clerk and Recorder's office or at the <br />Division's office. <br />Comments concerning the application and exhibits must be in writing and must be <br />received by the Division of Minerals and Geology by 4:00 p.m. on February 28, 2003. <br />
