EXHIBIT D
Mining Plan
This amendment application proposes to add property to the currently permitted mining
operation. This will be a continuation of the mining that Monks Construction is presently doing
on the property. The new lands aze identical in topography and geology to the current permit
azea.
The additional land will increase the number of phases from eight to twelve. Mining of the
phases will continue as was originally stated and approved in the current permit. Total disturbed
azea at any one time will not increase above the currently permiried 43 acres.
A new site access point will be added to the permit from Colorado Highway 115. The existing
northern haul route will be used as the primary route until such time that all required permits aze
obtained to allow the use of the eastern haul route. Once the construction of the eastern haul
route is completed and the route is useable, the haul route to the north will be vacated per the
lease agreements.
The applicant will be placing a truck scale, shop building and an office at the east access point.
There may also be stockpiles of materials for retail sales and for severe weather days when the
mining areas aze not accessible. The applicant also anticipates placing an asphalt batch plant
and/or a concrete batch plant in this azea. These plants would be moved from their current
locations at the Airport Pit #1 (M-80-096).
No other changes to the mining plan will occur with this amendment.
