' David Berry - 3 - January 26. 2001
way. PCC has initiated discussions with the DOH regarding the installation of the
dewatering system. PCC owns the coal where the borehole will penetrate the mine
workings.
Mr. Mike Jamison, PCC's Acting General Manager indicated PCC is willing to install
the North Decline dewatering system as soon as all necessary permits are in place,
contingent upon Bank Group approval. The timing would also be affected by
Contractor availability since drilling an inclined hole into a flooded mine requires a
specialty drilling contractor.
Enclosed are the following permit documents:
Paoe/Drawing(Figure Discussion
Tab 14 TOC Added figures 14-8 - i 1 to table of contents
14- 29 & 30 Updated text to reflect new flow calculations
Figure 14-7 Revised flow rates at discharge points
Figure 14- 6 & 8 Supply 3 certified drawings
Figure 14-9 Roadside South Portal -Mine Inflow Rate Determination
Figure 14-10 North Decline Mine Discharge System -Flow Calculation
Figure 14-11 Siphon System -Flow Calculation without Siphon Influence
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
~~~~
J.
