I am numbering the responses in the same order as presented in your letter.
I) EXHIBIT D-MINING PLAN
a) There are no plans at present to install and operate a field conveyor to
convey pit-run to the plant from the amendment area. We will continue to
use haul trucks. If we plan to install and operate a field conveyor on the
Speer site, I will notify the Division and a re-calculation of the bond can
be performed.
b) No response required. We will be in compliance with both UD&FCD and
Adams County on the pit-side and riverside improvements.
II) EXHIBIT E-RECLAMATION PLAN
a) No response required. The seed mix is the same.
III) EXHIBIT G-WATER INFORMATION
a) The gravel well permit was submitted and approved by the state engineer
in 2001 along with the substitute supply plan. The plan has been revised
to include the amendment area and is ready to be submitted once approval
from the DMG is acquired for AM-2.
b) The discharge permit will be amended to show the additional area of
mining once approval from the DMG is acquired for AM-2. The
discharge points will not change, only the increased area of mining. An
amended map is all that will be required.
c) Please see attached highlighted page 2 of an adequacy review letter
written 9-21-02 by Kristina Kamnikar for AM-1 to this permit. ASCI
commits to the exact same procedures for mitigation to alluvial wells for
