III IIIIIIIIIIIII III
To: WalkerB@COAL@DNRML,HernandD@COAL@DNRML 999
Cc:
Bcc:
From: RouttenL@COAL@DNRML
Subject: Colowyo drilling project
Date: Wednesday, April 30, 1997 16:33:49 UTC
Attach:
Certify: N
Forwarded by:
Juan Garica called yesterday when I was the only one around who he wanted to
talk to. He expects to be submitting an MR next week for exploration
drilling which will be inside the permit area. They will be drilling inside
the permit area under the MR and outside the permit area under an NOI. He
just wanted us to know it's coming and, he had two questions:
1. They permitted a bunch of holes last year which were never drilled. He
wanted to know if we could transfer bond liabililty from holes that never
happened to holes they propose this year. I toild him we have done that in
the past at other places.
2. In the past, he has done bond calculations and we redo them. Of course,
they are never the same. The $ amounts are small enough that they just go
with our estimates. So, he asked if he could omit the bond calculation in
his application and use our estimate. I told him that made sense to me.
