Lamm
Governor
DATE: November 27, 1985
T0: Gregg
FROM: Jeff '~
RE: Trapper Mine Mid-Term Review
Bond Calculations, File No. C-010-81
I have reviewed the Trapper Mine bond calculations using all of Trapper's
assumptions concerning volumes, push distances and haul distances. The only
major problem I noted with the calculations is that the operator seems to have
incorrectly estimated dozer production from the Homographs in the CAT
Handbook. The operator consistently overestimated production as a function of
push distance from these curves.
The Division should require Trapper Mining to either justify their production
estimates or recalculate earthmoving costs using production rates properly
calculated from the dozer production Homographs.
5216E/cj

423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
