Company a Quaker Western Coal Company subsidiary, [o Powderhorn Coal <br />Company, a Peabody Holding Copany subsidiary, on September 23, 1997. The underground coal mine <br />is located in Mesa County, approximately 5 miles north of Palisade. The coal to be mined is under federal <br />and private ownership and the surface is under federal and private ownership.
