Hopefully, this
will resolve all outstanding issues so an approval decision can be made by June 7, 1991.
Section 1.0 - 1990 Annual Reclamation Report
This section was acceptable to the Division.
Section 2.0 -Annual Hydrology Report
Trapper has updated page 4-247a and Table 4.8-13a (pgs 4-247b, 4-247c, and 4-247d) to reflect recom-
mended changes by the Division. Trapper understands that if future impacts become significant, monitoring
on a quarterly basis may be required again. Additionally, continued consistency of water quality sampling
parameters at other well sites may constitute further reductions to biannual sampling requirements.
In review of the Division's comments and recommendations for sampling frequency, the Cottonwood Spring
well was not addressed by the Division. Trapper will assume the Division has approved our original
biannual sampling request unless otherwise notified.
Section 3.0 -Drainage Reconstruction, Improvements and Repairs (1990)
This section was acceptable to the Division.
Section 4.0 -Regraded Spoil Sampling
This section was acceptable to the Division. Trapper will visually monitor the vegetation response on the
isolated spoil area where a low PH value was reported.
Section 5.0 -Topsoil Stockpile Locations (1990)
This section was acceptable to [he Division. Additionally, Trapper encourages the Division's inspection of
topsoil stockpile locations to ensure proper reporting.
Section 6.0
This section was acceptable to the Division. Minor deficiencies still etdst on two stock ponds constructed
during 1990. First, erosion control matting installed within the spillway of the Colt pit pond (SCS corre-
spondence 926/90 #5) needs completed. Additionally, the lower pond in the upper Johnson Gulch tribu-
taries needs to have the upstream embankment [oe flattened to a 3:1 slope (SCS correspondence 1121N0
P.0.f3ox 187 Craig, Colorado 81626 (303) 824-4401
