Box 467 Granby, CO 80446 Re: File No. M-83-102, Horn Gravel Pit, Complete Application Dear Mr. Horn: We have received your application fora Mining & Reclamation Permit for your surface mining operation in Grand County. Our initial review indicates that all preliminary items required by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-32-101, et seq., have been submitted; thus your application has been deemed complete. 7{T1 comment and review time periods initiate from this date. The tentative date for consideration of your application by the Mined Land Reclamation Board is July 13, 1988. You should commence publication of a notice of the filing of this application immediately (see enclosed notice format). You must also mail a copy of the notice to all owners of record of surface rights of affected land and immediately adiacent land. You must provide proof of the notice and mailing, such as Certified Ftai1 Return Receipt Requested, to the MLR staff before your application can be considered by the Board. You must also place a copy of this application for public review, less confidential items, with the Grand County Clerk and Recorder. Any subsequent changes or additions to the copies on file in our offices must also be made in this local government copy. THE STAFF IS REVIEWING YDUR APPLICATION TO DETERMINE WHETHER IT IS ADEQUATE TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAW. THIS REVIEW WILL BE COMPLETED AS WELL IN ADVANCE OF THE SCHEDULED BOARD MEETING AS POSSIBLE, SO AS TO ALLOW SUFFICIENT RESPONSE TIME. If you have any questions, please contact me.
