In that regard, I was <br />able to contact Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc., of <br />Eagle, Colorado. Mr. Metcalf visited the site on 24 December <br />and surveyed the road location, which we flagged ahead of <br />him. Since there is some snow cover on the ridge top he was <br />not able to do a survey there other than look for "hunting <br />platforms" in the trees. I have advised Dan Sokal of the BLM <br />that the road is flagged so that he can have his other <br />specialists make their inspections. <br />I am looking forward to receiving comments from yourself and <br />BLM so that I have time to prepare our response prior to the <br />January 20-21 hearings. <br />ctfully, <br />
