I explained that we are
currently working to revise and refine the reclamation plan, including a revision to the Coal Creek
area reclamation plan, the RDA reclamation plans and the plans regarding mine water management
and mine office area reclamation plans.
Mr. Fowler asked that you provide an update regazding all pending revision actions and that you
meet with him on-site to discuss any BLM concerns or issues pertaining to the overall reclamation
plans at the mine. Mr. Fowler also indicated a concern that minor revisions that might affect BLM
lands are approved without opportunity for BLM comment. I will review our policies regarding
BLM notice for Minor Revisions overall, but in the meantime please communicate with Mr. Fowler
regazding any minor revisions, prior to approval, that might impact the Grand Junction BLM issues.
I will also request that Denver staff do likewise with the other BLM offices as they proceed with
their work items.
M:\ossURCUtoadside BLM mcmo.doc
