After analyzing this project a conservative IIZF water surface elevation was calculated. For any habitable
structures we recommend the lowest floor be elevated to an elevation of 4936 feet above MSL, making it
one foot above our calculated BFE in this azea. We understand this to include only the scale house. The
proposed site of the scale house is shown on the attached Flood Hazard Development Permit Map. This
location is not inundated as shown by the IRF generated by TuttleApplegate, Inc.
This appears to be a reasonable base flood elevation for this azea. However, this is not a revision to the
accepted legal FEMA maps. Consequently either a formal modification of the floodplain should be
obtained through FEMA or flood insurance must be required for other uses or applications. We also
recommend a more detailed analysis be performed before permanent insurable structures aze permitted in
this location. ,_ .._..
Sincerely,
TuttleApplegate, Inc. ~~yr~72~1 ~'
1L1"~ ~ r?~W
( ~ ~ ~fssioau ~6.
