Lochh¢ad <br />E.ecunve Director <br />Michael B. Long <br />Division Director <br />On September 23, 1998, the Mined Land Reclamation Board held its monthly meeting. The Board <br />considered the Division's recommendation to approve the Butala amendment application over objections. <br />The Board approved the application with one stipulation: the wash ponds will be backfilled at the <br />cessation of mining activities if the operator can not, or does not, comply with applicable Colorado <br />Water Laws and Regulations regarding the exposure of groundwater in the ponds.
