The operator is proposing to motlify the revegetation standartls regarding the shrub density at the mine. Shrubs are not a significant component of [he vegetation on the reclaimed area. Limit- ed establishment of shrubs over the revegetation pedotl should not negatively impact the implementation of the post-mining land use. The Raton Creek Minas is a underground coal mine focatetl in Las Animas County, approximately 3 miles south of Trinidad, Colorado. Coal interest is Pnvate, and the surtace affected is Pdvate lantl. The permit area encompasses approximately 1,3 70.00 acres. This proposed decision is basetl on a finding that the proposed oper- ation will comply with all requirements of the Coloratlo Surtace Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 3433-tOt, et seq., C.R.S., and the regulations promulgated thereunder. Copies of the proposed decision, including stipulations, are on file for public inspection ai the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman SVeeL Denver, Colo- rado 80203. Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposetl decision. Such re- quest must be matle within ten (10) tlays of the initial publication of this notice, must he in writing, and must state with reasonable specif- icity the reasons for the request and the objections to the proposed decision.
