The operator is proposing to motlify the revegetation <br />standartls regarding the shrub density at the mine. Shrubs are not a <br />significant component of [he vegetation on the reclaimed area. Limit- <br />ed establishment of shrubs over the revegetation pedotl should not <br />negatively impact the implementation of the post-mining land use. <br />The Raton Creek Minas is a underground coal mine focatetl in Las <br />Animas County, approximately 3 miles south of Trinidad, Colorado. <br />Coal interest is Pnvate, and the surtace affected is Pdvate lantl. The <br />permit area encompasses approximately 1,3 70.00 acres. <br />This proposed decision is basetl on a finding that the proposed oper- <br />ation will comply with all requirements of the Coloratlo Surtace Coal <br />Mining Reclamation Act, Section 3433-tOt, et seq., C.R.S., and the <br />regulations promulgated thereunder. <br />Copies of the proposed decision, including stipulations, are on file for <br />public inspection ai the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, <br />Room 215, Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman SVeeL Denver, Colo- <br />rado 80203. Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected <br />by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposetl decision.
