<br /> <br />Public Notice <br />Trinidad Basin Mining, HC-81, Box 6 Barbourville, Kentucky 40906 <br />has filed, with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, an <br />application for technical revision to its permit (Permit q C-81- <br />048) to leave sediment ponds on a portion of the reclaimed area. <br />The legal description of the proposed mine is as follows: mine <br />site - S1/2 N1/2, S1/2 Section 15, NE1/4, NE1/4, Section 21 and <br />Section 22, T31S, R65W of the 6th P.M., Las Animas County, <br />Colorado. The surface of the permit area is owned by Alvin <br />Wiggins, Lillian Denison, Baldwin Resources, Inc. and the owners <br />of some tracts in the Dela9us Canyon Ranch. <br />U.S.O.S. 75 minute quadrangle maps, Del Agua and Trinidad contain <br />the description of the proposed operation. A copy of the <br />application is available for public inspection at the Las Animas <br />County Courthouse located in Trinidad. <br />The Trinidad Basin Mine is located approximately six miles west <br />of Ludlow, Colorado in Del Agua Canyon. The mine can be reached <br />by following County Road 44.0 west to the mine site. <br />Written comments, objections, or requests for an informal <br />conference on the application may be submitted to the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division, 2nd Floor, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203 (303) 866-3567.
