RE: Technical Revision to Incorporate a Blasting Program; Completeness
Dear Ms. James:
We have received your technical revision application to your permit
(C-021-81) to conduct coal mining in Colorado. Our initial review indicates
that all preliminary items required by the Colorado Surface Coal Wining
Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 1973, 34-33-101 et seq., have been submitted; thus,
your revision application has been deeme~coinplete fur the purposes of filing
on the above date. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and
Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this date of filing.
Walden coal has not submitted a proposed newspaper advertisement. A suggested
legal notice has been attached to this letter. You should commence
publication of this advertisement as specified in Rule 2.07.3(2) and 2.08.5(0)
of the Regulations. Proof of the publication of the advertisement must be
filed with the Division as soon as available.
A copy of the revision application, less any confidential items, must be filed
for public inspection with the Jackson County Clerk and Recorder. Any
subsequent changes or additions to the revision application must also be made
in this made in this public copy.
The staff is currently reviewing your application to determine whether the
items you Yiave submitted are adequate in terms of meeting the requirements of
tfte Act and Regulations. Additional information may be required for the
purposes of adequacy. You will be notified as to the Division's findinys of
adequacy or inadequacy in your technical revision application. As provided
for in Section 34-33-118(5) of the Act the Division will render a decision no
later than December 30, 1983. If you have any questions, please feel free to
