Long <br />Division Dneclor <br />RE: Phase I Bond Release, Proposed Decision to Approve, Rimrock Coal Company, <br />Rimrock Strip Mine, Permit No. C-89-074 <br />Dear Mr. Kerr: <br />Please find enclosed the Proposed Decision Document for the Phase I Bond <br />Release requested for Rimrock Strip Mine. The Division proposes to approve a <br />50 percent release rather than the requested 60 percent based upon its <br />determination that not all backfilling and regrading required by the approved <br />reclamation plan, has been completed. <br />Upon successful completion of the backfilling and grading of the oil tank <br />containment area and the subsidence feature listed in the enclosed Proposed <br />Decision document, the remaining 10 percent of your original request may be <br />eligible for release following submittal of another complete application for <br />Phase I Bond Release. <br />Please contact me, if I can be of further assistance. <br />Sincerely, <br />lG~~k c ~~ ~~'~ <br />Wallace H.
