R~C~111f~® <br />ocr o s zcoz <br />May 31, 2002 <br />Mr. Les Ewegen <br />124`h Estates Partners <br />4545 East 60~' Avenue, Suite 202 <br />Commerce City, Colorado 80022 <br />Re: 124 Estates Partners, Proposed Mining Activities <br />Dear Mr. Ewegen: <br />Division of b"inerals and Geology <br />I have reviewed the information you have provided regarding the <br />mining operation, in relation to the truck movements, access locations <br />and the left and right turn lanes on Highway 85. Your proposed access <br />request is approved subject to the following requirements: <br />1) The right-in only access shall be located a minimum of 100 feet <br />west from the Highway 85 edge of pavement. Adams County <br />Planning also refers to this location as the Lot 2 Corrigan <br />Subdivision access point. <br />2) The full movement access shall be located 550 feet +/- west from <br />the centerline of Highway 85. Adams County Planning also refers <br />this location as being east of the northerly projected eastern <br />alignment of the Curdy property line located at 11000 East 120' <br />Avenue. <br />3) The northbound Highway 85 left turn lane and the southbound <br />Highway 85 acceleration lane shall be improved to meet CDOT <br />standards prior to the commencement of operations. <br />4) East 120"' Avenue shall be paved between the western access and <br />Highway 85 in both directions. A pavement design report is <br />required to be submitted for review and approval. <br />5) All work required shall be completed prior to the commencement of <br />operations. <br />6) The 2 access points are approved for a time period not to exceed <br />18 months from the date of this letter.
