Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised
Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on
September 22, 1994, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct
coal mining operations by Terror Creek Company, 1840 Highway 133, Paonia,
Colorado 81428, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All reviews
and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated
thereunder initiate from this day of filing.
The applicant proposes to revise operations at the Terror Creek Loadout. The
technical revision provides for the installation of a dilute antifreeze tank
in the facilities area. The dilute antifreeze will be applied to stoker coal
for freeze protection as the coal is loaded into rail cars.
The Terror Creek Loadout is located immediately south of Bowie, Colorado,
within the following section:
Township 13 South, Ranqe 91 West, 6th P.M.
Section 15: E/2NE/4SW/4 south of State Highway 133
and the NE/4SE/4 north of the railroad and south of
State Highway 133.
The above-described tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map
of Bowie.
A copy of the technical revision application is available for public
inspection at the Delta County Courthouse, 5th and Palmer, Delta, Colorado.
