iii iiiiiiiiniiiiii <br />999 <br />Ohio Creek Coal Mine <br />2054 County Road 730 <br />Gunnison, Colorado 81230 <br />(970)641-0076 <br />has filed an application for a technical revision of a Reclamation and Mining Permit No. C-80-002 <br />with the Colorado Division of Minerals & Geology. This technical revision proposes a regrading <br />and hydrologic control plan to be used in reclamation of its OC #2 Coal Mine which is located in , <br />Gunnison County, Colorado and more specifically in the S 1/2 of lots 1 and 2 which said lots are <br />co-extensive with the SE 1(4 of the NE 1 /4 and the SW 1!4 of the NE 114 of Section 16, T 155, <br />R86W, 6th P.M., containing approximately 80 acres. <br />The underground mining operation is located approximately 16 miles north of Gunnison and 2.6 <br />miles east of Baldwin. Access to the site is via traveling 3 miles north on Colorado highway 135 <br />to the Ohio Creek Road, County Road 370, following this road approximately 10 miles to the <br />northwest to an eastern branch and following this branch 3 miles across Willow Creek to the OC <br />#2 Mine. This area is located on the USGS 7.5 minute Mt. Axtell quadrangle topographic map. <br />The Ohio Creek Coal Mine proposes a regrading and a hydrologic control plan for use in the <br />reclamation of the OC #2 Mine. The facilities are presently being removed and the portals have <br />been sealed. The disturbed area is approximately 3.22 acres. <br />A copy of the permit is available for public inspection at the Gunnison County Planning <br />Department, 200 East Virginia Avenue, Gunnison ,Colorado 81230 and the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology, Denver, Colorado.
