CLEMENT
District No. 2
DONALD C. STANBRO
District N o. 3
277-8332
Jefferson County Open Space is investigating the need for the access road
of the Schwartzwalder P1ine to Section 36 of the White Ranch Park.
This road has been used in the past for emergency access to the park. The
Security and I.laintenance Divisions of Jefferson County Open Space are
currently evaluating the cost/benefit to the program. With these fitcts,
we can speak to our future need of that road.
We understand that should Open Space wish to retain use of the road after
the Mine is closed, we will have to assume maintenance responsibi]i:y.
Should we elect not to use the road, it will be reclaimed by the Cotter
Corporation and returned to a natural state.
As the Open Space staff makes a decision in this matter, we will make you
aware of it. Thank you for your consideration in this regard.
Sincerely,
2~ ~~5~
Ken Fo ske,
Open Space Planning Administrator
/vcd
cc: Ray Printz, Open Space Director
