9. The well drilling operations will have available a water tank ofnot less than 300 gal. capacity <br />with a pump capable of pumping 20 gallons per minute at 100 PSI and not less than 300 feet of <br />hose. <br />10. Welding. <br />Welding is herein used to mean: electric arc welding; arc or gas cutting or heating; gas welding; <br />grinding of metal; use of any flammable gas, cazbon or hydrocazbon fuel for heating or forging <br />metal. <br />No welding will be conducted on USFS Lands without approval of the Paonia District Ranger <br />and the Operator's Hot Work Permit (attached). A letter requesting a waiver, allowing MCC to cut <br />and weld is on file with The Paonia Ranger District. <br />11. Operator personnel will attend the fueling of tractors, or other equipment operation, etc. during <br />the hours of 7:00 AM to 8 PM. Personnel will exercise extreme caution and will watch for fire <br />starts and be ready to take immediate fire suppression action. Personnel will carry a shovel and <br />have a 201b. fire extinguisher (full and in good operating condition) immediately available. <br />Personnel will be in good physical condition and able to fight fires. Personnel have had training in <br />basic fire fighting and shall immediately contact the USFS in Montrose or the Paonia District <br />Office if a fire is discovered. <br />12. Operations may be suspended if inspection by a Forest Officer reveals non-compliance with <br />the provisions of this fire prevention <br />13. MCC shall contract on an as needed basis, helicopter or other necessazy services that will <br />supply access to the methane drainage wells should normal access be cut-off by either smoke or <br />fire. <br />
