15. Description of Amendment or Conversion:
Cheyenne County is requesting an amendment to existing Permit No. M-1983-106 to
include the following:
1. The operator, Cheyenne County, is requesting the permit azea boundaries be
expanded to the east, and the recommended amended permit area boundaries aze
as follows:
A. The entire permitted azea will remain within the following legal
boundaries-- Section 22. Township 13 South, Range 43 West of the 6a'
Principle Meridian.
B. The proposed amended mining azea will expand to the east and will
consist of a new easterly boundary between Section 22 and Section 23.
C. The new southern boundary will be between Section 22 and the existing
UPR right-of--way.
D. The proposed northern boundary will be that of the already existing
abandoned roadway.
E. For further clarification, the proposed expanded mining area will lie
directly east of the already reclaimed area of the existing Cheyenne
County Pit No. 2.
F. In addition, Cheyenne County is requesting that the amended mining
permit allow for the continued presence and use of the existing service
road and culvert storage area (found adjacent to the quarter mile section
line), and further, that the aforementioned road and storage azea be
excluded from any future reclamation responsibility on behalf of the
operator, Cheyenne County.
2. The mining operation within the proposed amended area will move in a
southeasterly direction until the area is completely mined.
3. The reclamation will be done as the mining operation progresses on the property
according to the already existing reclamation plan.
