Where <br />applicable, disturbances associated with these areas may be <br />classified as: <br />(i) 1lajor disturbance - that area of a mining operation <br />which includes excavations, overburden spoils, and <br />topsoil stockpiles. <br />(ii) Moderate disturbance - that area of a mining operation <br />which is a result of backfilling of an open cut, <br />stabilization of waste dumps, the leveling of over- <br />burden spoils, the smooth grading and the distribution <br />of topsoil or other suitable approved plant growth <br />medium. Also includes, within tl~e affected area, <br />on-site private ways, roads, railroads, evaporation <br />or settling ponds, leaching dumps, o-,ork, parking, <br />storage or waste discharge areas and areas in which <br />structures, facilities, equipment, machines, tools <br />or other materials or property which result from or <br />are used in the mining operation are situated. <br />(iii) Minor disturbance - that area of a mining operation <br />which is undergoing preparation immediately prior to <br />~, planting or seeding, is being planted or seeded, or <br />has been planted or seeded and has not been released <br />from bond upon full completion of all reclamation <br />requirements as se[ forth in the permit. <br />e. A timetable shall be required to help describe the mining <br />operation in terms of: <br />(i) An estimate of the periods of time which will be <br />required for the various stages or phases of the <br />operation. <br />(ii) A description of the size and location of each area to <br />be worked during each phase. <br />(iii) Outlining the sequence in which each stage or phase of <br />the operation will be carried out. <br />(Timetables need not be separate and distinct from the mining <br />plan, but may be incorporated therein.) <br />P. map (in EXHIBIT C) may be used along with a narrative to <br />present the following information: <br />- 16 - <br />`:' <br /> <br /> <br />
