0 <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Coors Energy Company, P.O. Box 467, Golden, CO 80402, phone (303) 277- <br />3455, has filed a Phase II bond release application with the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology for the Keenesburg Mine (CDMG permit # C-81-028). The <br />bond release application package is available for inspection at the Colorado <br />Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver <br />Colorado 80203 and the Town Hall in Keenesburg, Colorado during the review <br />period. The mining and reclamation permit was approved November 3, 1991. The <br />permitted area is within Sections 25 and 36, T3N, R64W, 6th Prime Meridian, <br />Weld County, Colorado. The surface owner of the property for which bond <br />release is requested is Coors Energy Company. The U.S.G.S. 7.5 minute <br />quadrangles titled "Klug Ranch" and "Tampa" contain the permit area of the mine. <br />The permit area is located 7 miles north of Keenesburg, CO and is accessed by <br />Weld County Road 59. Phase II bond release is sought for successful <br />establishment of vegetation that supports the approved postmining land use and <br />which meets the approved success standard for cover on approximately 53.9 acres <br />within the permitted mine site. The areas eligible for Phase II bond release were <br />revegetated between 1997 and 2003. Coors Energy Company is requesting a <br />release of $191,433.10 of the total $2,614,909.00 surety reclamation bond <br />remaining for the site. Anyone wishing to submit written comments, objections, or <br />request a public hearing or informal conference must submit such request or <br />comments to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman <br />Street, Room 215, Denver Colorado 80203 within thirty (30) days of the last <br />publication of this notice.
