The mine is located 7 <br />miles north of Keenesburg, Colorado and is accessed by Weld County Road 59. The <br />USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle maps, "Ktug Ranch" and "Tampa" contain the permit area <br />of the mine. The permitted azea is within Sections 25 and 36, T3N, R64W, 6th Prime <br />Meridian, Weld County, Colorado. The pazcel for which bond release is sought is within <br />portions of Section 25 and 36, T3N, R64W. As required by Colorado law, whenever <br />bond release is requested, all interested or affected parties with a valid legal interest must <br />be notified, and afforded the opportunity to comment or request an informal conference <br />on the bond release in accordance with Rule 3.03.3 of the Regulations of the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Boazd for Coal Minine. This letter will serve to notify you that <br />Coors Energy Company is requesting bond release in the amount of $191,433.10 of the <br />total bond amount of $2,614,909.00 for retopsanding and successful establishment of <br />vegetation that supports the approved post mining land use and which meets the approved <br />success standazd for cover on approximately 53.9 acres in accordance with the approved <br />reclamation plan for the Keenesburg Mine. The release of this money would release the <br />actual monetary amount calculated to undertake these tasks in the reclamation bond for <br />those areas where vegetation that supports the approved post-mining land use and meets <br />the approved success standard of cover has been successfully established (Rule <br />3.03.1(2)(b)). The bond release application package submitted to the Colorado Division <br />of Minerals and Geology will be on fife with the Division of Minerals and Geology in <br />Denver at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, and the Weld County Clerk and Recorder's <br />Office, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80632 during the review period. All <br />information pertinent to the bond release request is presented in this application. <br />
