Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
In a letter submitted January 29, 2004, Bowie Resources Limited (BRL) has submitted comments on
the Division's January 9, 2004 submittal of the reclamation cost estimate for the Partial Phase One
Bond Release for the Bowie No. 1 Mine. BRL is requesting that additional bond be released for certain
specific reclamation tasks.
Attached is a copy of BRL's letter. In addition, I e-mailed a picture to you that may help to answer one
of BRL's questions. BRL is saying that the superstructure of the 2000 ton bin has been demolished and
that only concrete work remains. They aze requesting partial release for task 138. However, there still
is some metal remaining that is firmly attached to the concrete that is inside of the bin.
If you need any additional information, please let me know. Thanks for your assistance.
Attachment
cc: Sandy Brown (without attachment)
c: /word bowie 1 /s102memo2
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
