Technical Revision No.109, Deer Creek Shaft <br />May 23, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />shaft collaz construction will require 4 months and must begin early in August during the <br />2007 construction season so that completion can occur prior to winter of this yeaz. <br />This project has also been submitted to the US Forest Service and is undergoing <br />concurrent Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) review and the public scoping process. <br />The following materials are attached to support the application submittal: <br />• The CDMG Application Form; <br />• The proposed Public Notice; <br />• The proposed Project Plan including <br />o site map (Deer Creek Shaft Location TR-109); <br />o project layout (Proposed Deer Creek Shaft TR-109); <br />o Map 1 - USGS Topographic Map with Surface Facilities, Lease and 5-Yeaz <br />Permit Areas; <br />• A Threatened & Endangered and Sensitive Species (TESS) survey that was <br />conducted for this project site during May and June 2005; <br />• The Limited Results Cultural Resource Inventory pertaining to this site prepared for <br />Mountain Coal Company (MCC) by Greystone; <br />As always we will be happy to work with you to address any questions or concerns that <br />arise. <br />Sincerely, <br />Henry A.
