Approval of Permit Amendment AM-04 removes the Lost Creek Reservoir acreage.
On page 11 of AM-01 (copy enclosed) it is stated that the permit acreage for Lost
Creek Reservoir is 658 acres. Tables 1 and 2 from AM-01 indicate that the affected
land acreage for Lost Creek Reservoir would have been 588 acres at its maximum
extent, although only 50 acres were bonded since most of the disturbance was to
have been within the reservoir footprint. Resultingly, the approved acreages upon
approval of AM-04 may be calculated and tabulated as follows:
Permit: 12,535.5 - 658 = 11,877.5
Private: 12,500.8 - 658 = 11,842.8
Federal: 34.7
Affected: 4,137.8 - 588 = 3,549.8
Note that these are not the same as the acreages tabulated in the AM-04 approval
letter dated 6/10/03. The tabulation in this memo corrects the errors in the letter.
The AM-04 acreages tabulated in this memo will be those entered into the Division of
Minerals and Geology database.
enclosure(s)
c:~acs~My DocumenLsWenderson am4 acreage calcs.doc
• Page 2
