The likeliness o! soil bloving <br />and the strong slopes of the hilly landscape make the <br />area unsuitable for dryfarminq. The natural <br />vegetation, however, is adequate for grazing. l~bout <br />one third of the plant cover is blue grans while the <br />remainder is made up of eideoats grams and small <br />amounts of aatxl bluestem, switch grass and similar <br />plants. western vheatgrass, too, is the Host prevalent <br />midgrass in areas consisting of predominantly loamy <br />soils- These grasses range in height from a Pew inches <br />to a couple o! feet. <br />12 <br />
