(i) Based upon our estimate that completion of the entire pit will be 2010,
reclamation will occur soon after.
(ii) The entire site will be reclaimed at the end of the mining effort.
(iii) The reclamation sequence will be as described in section ~ below.
f) The reclamation schedule will be:
(i) Final grading for all back slopes of 3:1.
(ii) Following final shaping, the mined area will be worked for a seedbed
and seeded to a cover crop of sorghum-type forage. The cover crop will be planted no
later than July.
A grass mixture of 1 pound PLS per acre of blue grass, 5.5 pounds of PLS per
acre of western wheatgrass, and 1 pound PLS of side oats grams will then be seeded.
Grass seeding will occur between the November 1 and May 1. Seeding will not be done
when the ground is frozen. The seedbed will be firm, moist, and clean of weeds.
(iii) Soils tests will be taken prior to seeding of the cover crop. Based
upon results of the soils, fertilizer maybe applied.
(iv) Revegetation will include the grass mixture as proposed.
(v) Topsoil replacement will be at depths of approximately 5 - 6 inches.
