Cottony <br />Acting Division Director <br />The Division renewed Mining Permit No. C-1980-005 to Seneca Coal Company for the Seneca II Mine <br />on February 17, 2002. The surface coal mine is located in Routt County, approximately 9 miles southeast <br />of Hayden. The coal is under Federal, state and private ownership and the surface is under State and <br />private ownership.
