The bond release application
was found complete by the Division on October 18, 1999. The request is for Phase II partial bond
(liability) release covering 319.5 acres in A, D, and H pits. The request is only for release of liability,
not a reduction in the bond amount. The surface ownership is State and Private, and the coal mined
was Federal, State, and Private.
A representative from your agency attended the bond release inspection of the site on October 20,
1999. A proposed decision on the application will be issued within sixty (60) days of completion of
the evaluation required by Section 3.03.2(2).
If you have questions or need additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
T-~^ ~~-P~..~.~.
Tom Kaldenbach
Environmental Protection Specialist
TAK/Jrc
GSL-0J Cr981010 TAI: 19991306 ION06 AM dot
